I started a Youtube Channel last September and it has been my pride and joy.
This was something that I had always wanted to do even before becoming a medical student. I have always been in front of the camera since I was a little girl, performing for my family and friends. As a self-diagnosed person with “middle child syndrome”, the spotlight has always been one of my passions lol. In college to de-stress, I used to learn Beyonce choreography and make mashup videos for Facebook. People would always tell me to put it on youtube but I wasn’t quite ready for that public exposure of my secret-not so secret hobbies!
Anyway, I decided to record my medical school journey because my pathway into medical school was not so typical and I wanted to share my experience to help someone in a similar situation. I want to encourage and empower people all over that it’s never too late to make career changes or go back to school and study something that you are so impassioned about. I wanted to show that although Medical school is intense and you must study hard, you can still make room for fun. It doesn’t have to be regarded as a one-track mind arena. I also wanted to share the journey throughout medical school so that I would have something to look back when all is said and done.
Vlogging so far has been very therapeutic for me and I am glad that I finally mustered up the courage to be so candid. I would love for you to subscribe to my channel and comment your thoughts. I’d love to hear your thoughts, good or bad. I can handle the truth haha! I’d love to hear youtube channel ideas for new videos you’d like to see as well. If you have any questions regarding how to set up a youtube channel, or becoming a youtube creator, I’d be happy to help.
